Did you know that with RCI Points Partners, you could use your points to enjoy the finer things in life?
Adding all the extras
Picture the scene: You’ve booked your accommodation, arranged your flights, and you still have points left. However you don’t have quite enough for another Exchange Holiday, or can’t quite find something that satisfies your holiday needs or dates.
Naturally, it’s much better to use them than lose them, and with Points Partners, it means you can book some extras to transform your experience with some fun and useful add-ons to turn your break into an adventure.
For example, there aren't many of us that like pre-dawn wake up calls - we'd prefer to hit the snooze button. But why factor in extra time and arrive at the airport tired if there’s really no need? With Points Partners, make sure everything goes without a hitch and pre-book your airport hotel and parking.
That way you can start your holiday celebrations a little bit sooner, and get that much-needed holiday lie in, thanks to those those unused points on your RCI account.
So that’s your pre-travel arrangements sorted, but what about when you touchdown in resort?
We have a vast selection of tours and attractions you can pre-book, which not only add a greater dimension to your break, but also allow you to make the best use of your quality time - which we don’t always get a lot of.
So, if you’re taking little ones off to Tenerife, look at some tickets for Siam Park to fuel those laughs and smiles, or if you’re planning a romantic city break, why not add on a city tour to create more wonderful memories to add to your photo collection?
And if you count yourself among the restless and are unlikely to be seen lazing on a sun lounger by the pool for a whole week, car hire is essential for exploring the more rural areas beyond the cityscapes.
Best of all, with Points Partners you don’t need to have booked an RCI Exchange to avail of these options. If you’ve booked independently, you can still use the features of the programme.
It is an exclusive benefit available to you as an RCI member, which gives you another port of call if you’re struggling to self-package the perfect break. After all, being savvy is the route to your holiday happiness!
Cottage and villa stays
Whether you want solitude or a social scene from your holiday, or even a mix of both, cottages.com and James Villa Holidays are fabulous options to give you the flexibility to experience different ways to holiday.
So, if you want a cosy stay in a romantic and rustic cottage, or a sleek villa complete with a private pool for getting your loved ones together for a family reunion - think outside the box, and check out Points Partners to see how you could add an extra break into your holiday schedule this year.
And there’s a whole range of destinations to choose from, with Croatia, Italy and France topping everyone’s hot lists right now, as well as the much-loved sunshine spots of Spain, the Canary Islands and Portugal.
Cruise your cares away
If you have been saving points for a long time now and have built up quite a number, a cruise is a great option to pack more destinations into your holiday. So if you are short on holiday time, get in touch to see if there is an itinerary to suit you and your holiday style.
Stay and play in the UK
Not planning on taking off abroad anytime soon? This doesn’t mean you have to miss out and lose your points. Why not explore more of your home territories and book a hotel or resort stay to give yourself something to look forward to between your main holiday events.
This is exactly what Susan and Paul Cullen from Kent did when they discovered they had a considerable amount of points to use up.
“We have booked car hire, flights and airport hotels in the past, but I think the most memorable thing we organised with Points Partners was a UK stay at Macdonald Elmers Court Resort in the New Forest,” said Susan.
Whatever the season, the New Forest has something to surprise and delight, but horseback riding and cycling certainly top the list for many visitors to the region.
Elsewhere there are museums, galleries and other cultural attractions to visit. But to revel in the wild beauty of the region, you cannot beat fresh air and the great outdoors. There is an ample range of walking routes with family, wildlife, pub and guided options to unlock the best of the New Forest.
“It’s a really beautiful part of the UK, and we booked two apartments for a family break for my husband and I, as well as our son and his partner.”
The resort is the perfect get-away-from-it-all experience set in the heart of the New Forest.
Guests can make full use of the spa and pool to ease away the stresses and strains of everyday life, or add a little luxury with elegant dining, fine wines and delicious dishes and afternoon teas to finish off a day well spent.
Other Ways to Stay
Alan and Daphne Watson used the RCI Points Partner programme to add on an extra week in Thailand, last year, as part of a family wedding celebration holiday.
Alan explained: "We tend to plan our main annual holiday a year in advance so we can maximise our holiday options. This time we were looking for Phuket in Thailand, as Daphne’s brother lives in northeast Thailand and was getting married so we wanted to add on some time exploring the south of Thailand.
“Unfortunately there was nothing available in the Exchange system, so we opted for Points Partners to find a resort and this meant we could use up some points.”
The couple from Bedfordshire, are seasoned users of both the exchange system and Points Partners. Having only stayed in their home resort in Orlando once when they first purchased their timeshare, they have chosen to exchange their points to explore the world, from the UK to extensive travels around North America including Canada, Hawaii and Washington.
Alan and Daphne plan their RCI Exchange Holidays ahead - by as much as 12 months - and so their RCI Points alone have given the couple some pretty amazing getaways, as Alan explained: "Every week myself and several of my friends catch up to play bridge in a local pub to exercise our brains and socialise a bit more now that we are all retired. Daphne and I had some points leftover and Daphne kindly agreed that I could use some of these points for me to take our boys' bridge-playing catch ups off on tour. I booked myself and three friends on a canal boat holiday from Wrexham to north Wales.
“It was great fun, especially navigating across the nail-biting Pontcysyllte Aqueduct with its 200-foot drop! We stopped off at some pubs along the way of course to play cards, and the boys agreed it was one of the best holidays they have ever had.”
“The RCI Points Partners system is most useful when you’re looking to supplement your main resort stay or would like to extend your trip with a few extra days. We used the programme to book a few nights in Washington which was good value. Although slightly outside the city, the hotel was close to the rail station to get into the city so it worked for us for a couple of days.”
